It is said that the Ariya concept style introduces a new design language for Nissan in general. The lines are softer and less angular than many of the company's current designs, and the somewhat frontal grille is more cleanly integrated into the overall look. The shape is familiar, since the Ariya is a compact crossover with a very inclined rear greenhouse; It is a few centimeters shorter than a rogue in total length, but it is significantly shorter and wider and has a more athletic stance.
Nissan says the Ariya is based on a new dedicated electric platform with a battery pack mounted on the floor and two electric motors, one in the front and one in the rear. The company does not share any details about the battery's output or range, but we have heard claims that the production version will offer around 300 miles of range and speeds up from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds.
