If you drive in your car and notice excessive rumbling, shaking, wobbling, or other unusual sensations while you are on the move or trying to stop, there may be a mechanical problem.
Ideally, your ride should be quiet and comfortable and not feel like you were coming down from a roller coaster. In addition to comfort, if the performance of your vehicle is rather unsafe, you could endanger yourself and others. It is possible that the bumpy ride comes from your transmission.

Read this list of key reasons your vehicle may not be running smoothly to save time and money, and possibly to ensure the safety of your vehicle. It can also be a problem with something else in your vehicle that needs repairing.


Far too often someone changes a tire and does not realize that the tire is not properly placed against the rear disc. As soon as they lock the nuts on the tire, they may think they are locked, to find out that the car wobbles, vibrates or shakes while driving. Even if there is a slight movement, this will take its toll on the tire, brakes, disc and many other components over time.
If the problem lies in the alignment of the wheel, it can
sometimes be difficult to detect this, but a clue lies in the steering wheel that is slightly sideways and does not drive straight ahead. A significant sign you can rely on is uneven wear on your front tires.

If you find that one of the two tires is wearing out faster than the other, chances are that your alignment is disabled. It is best to get a tire rotation service once a season to keep the tread level and ensure that the machine ensures that your car is in good condition.

Low or high air pressure can also cause a whole range of problems for your tires. If they are too high, they can warp out of their shape, wear faster in the tread and, if they are high enough, actually blow out. This also makes your ride pretty rough, because you feel every bump and crack in the road. If they are too low on the other side, your ride will have more influence, because the band will bounce a lot more.


Suspension is what keeps the tires in contact with the road and, considering that your wheels are steering and blocking you, your suspension system is a sort of unrecognized hero of the car world. If something in your suspension has yielded, you should notice some drastic differences in the way the vehicle feels and handles.
The vehicle can tilt heavily to one side, bounce up and down several times before settling down, or you may feel the jolt of driving on potholes, curbs and bumps. If the suspension is giving you problems, there are only a few important parts that should worry you.
If the vehicle uses leaf springs, one or more could be broken, bent or damaged. Suspension shock absorbers may be broken or damaged. Over time, coil springs tend to lose tension, especially through rough and repeated use.


When a transmission begins to break down, the teeth of the gears usually go out first, especially when a less experienced driver sits behind the wheel.
It starts with a more difficult time to change gears - gears can be broken off over time, wiped off and ground off. If you notice that your transmission is having trouble getting into gear, getting out of service or making any unusual noises and it's extremely cold outside, you probably want to warm up your vehicle.
Failure to give the transmission fluid enough time to warm up means that the fluid can not perform its work properly. This can lead to big problems on the road.


There can be a lot of factors related to your brakes that can give you problems, and many of them are sadly out of your direct control.
Climate and the elements play one of the most important roles in how the brakes will react. Whether it's raining, snowing, stopping or dehydrating, your brakes can get wet, freeze and get dirty, which will make them make strange noise or that do not respond as planned.
However, you can always check the brakes to see how well they are responding. If you notice something off, simply pump the brakes a couple of times. Often, pumping the brakes will remove any dirt or moisture. If you do this and it does not help, or if the weather is not bad, you may have a problem.
Fortunately, brakes are not the most expensive problems to fix and many times it is only necessary to replace the brake pads. Handling with worn brake pads will only cause the brake components to become even tighter and, more importantly, the discs or drums used by the vehicle, which can be quite expensive to repair.
